We stopped at 3 Guys and a Stove on our way home from camping in nearby Algonquin Park, and very much enjoyed our sophisticated lunch, with nice grace notes.Very friendly staff and service, from one of the owners who initially looked after us, and our ultimate waitress who'd been swamped as we came in.Our two young kids enjoyed their tgree-course meal with some interesting and unique starters (and more familiar, like a perfect, garlicky Caesar salad) and well prepared mains like pasta (with choice of sauces) and pita pizza, as well as sliders, and other appealing options. The pumpkin-sweet potato soup is a great choice, with layers of curry, sweetness of honey and apple, and finished with cream. A nice warm up after a damp evening at our campsite the night before. My wife and I both opted for tacos from the sandwich and burger lunch menu, but we were hard pressed to make our selection. So many creative options, and that's before scanning the dinner menu, and contemplating a seasonal BBQ option with choice of 2 or 3 meats (chicken, pork back ribs or beef brisket) and various accoutrement. The brisket taco was rich, but this was cut by tart pickled red onion, herbaceous micro greens and a green salsa. The fish taco featured Whitefish and an avocado, watermelon salsa. Both come in two-piece plates, with a side (text book fries, choice of salad, or a cup of that delicious soup!).Definitely well considered menu and recipes, a comfortable, yet refined atmosphere, and a much better choice than the chains that line highway 11 in the area.
