Very cozy place to grab some Japanese food. Generally not very crowded. May have to wait if you are with a large group. Service is spot on. The udon soups are really nice. Especially the curry flavored one. Enjoyed every bit of it. Tempura was excellent. Food is generally affordable. Would recommend.

Gosh, I just love this place so much! The food and beer are absolutely delicious and authentically German. Coming from the Midwest, it’s hard to find a good German establishment in the Bay Area, but this one is the best I’ve experienced so far! The service is a bit sub-par, which is why I’m giving it 4/5 stars, but I’m sure they’ll improve as life returns to normal. The food and drink here make my soul so happy!

ArgonautIgnatiusIt is a very famous and busy store in SF. You better first tell them you are going to order box for 12 or 4 or just two pieces. I order box for my family. Their Kouign Amann, are most famous. I love their Lemon Tart, Almond Cake with my own home made Espresso to start my perfect SF day.

I haven't been here since Covid shifted my work to remote, but this place is amazing! Getting breakfast from here (Chipotle Meatlover burrito and Cherrybomb Latte.... Mmmmm! is what I miss most about working in the city. Hope to come back in 2021. Happy New Year Il Canto, hope it's a good one!
