great food and great books – what is not to love! that's a must if in dc!

I haven't eaten in a house at kramers, but it was good to be back. the peanut butter cake was delicious as usual, and also the other. I'm so glad this DC-Institution is still part of dupont!

that was my friend before we left the dmw. the last time we left, was right before covid. a lot has changed since in the restaurant. I'm open to change so I won't hate it just because it's different. I feel like it's a 5/5 date spot in the night with cute actable plates and a large dessert selection. now I give him a 4/5, just because some of the romantic ambiente has been lost. it used to be dimly illuminated, have a candle on each table, and occasionally the people have played a jazz guitar on the oblique side of the restaurant area. but eating is still great! the menu seems to have expanded and now I think can also be cheaper what is nice. but I miss the candles and soft music. the music that played tonight was a little bit intense and definitiv a misunderstanding for the mood. I think the change was aimed at attracting more of a daily amount, because the menu looked like there was a lot of great breakfast options available. but if they could feel a little calmer at night with the music and lighting, and the dessert offer would have done as well as before, I would give him 5/5!

My girls and I took a quick trip to DC for food and museums. The pulled pork hash with poached eggs was absolutely amazing and the toast was so yummy. We loved the relaxed vibe and being able to hit the super cute and very well stocked bookstore afterwards. Will definitely be going back!

Food was fresh and delicious. Well worth the visit. I bought a book for the 1st time in 15 years.

Very good service and food delicious, just very noisy. But Friday night in DuPont circle is to be expected!
