I was super hungry and ordered too much food, but also as hungry as we were, it was so let in. only no taste, the Mongolian bark was bland and nu-nuanced. seriously, I thought of my kindness and the terrible Chinese meal my mother served! the Cashew chicken was just as disappointing. the pot sticker wrap was so thick that she could hardly penetrate it to get the filling. Just say no.

eating is really hit or miss for me: I usually order general tso huhn and orange huh. I had these dishes here four times. 2 of the times they were really good! but the others weren't. 1 times I thought the sose (or maybe the han used for huh tastes bad (almost fish? not sure) the woman agreed and we rejected her. the other bad time, the huh was much too chew and honestly inedible, I had to spit out any other piece; because it was impossible to chew down. difficult to place time exactly, but the first time we ordered was perhaps september 2021 and the last april 2022. I can still give it a chance in a few months and may update the review.

we have come to greenwood mandarin for 25 years and when it is closed to ballard mandarin, no warning whether they have a new cook, but our favourite standards are different. always enjoyed finer cuts of meat with deliciously glazed sauces consistently great. the last visit meats are thicker pieces, glazed sauces are dry and dishes overall lack taste

ballard mandarin is a Chinese food restaurant on the bustling corner from the 8th and market. They have quite large portions for a very good price, especially their lunch specialities that they cannot beat. tastefully they also make a good job. many to choose as their menu is quite large. the staff here is friendly and the food comes also extremely fast.

Delicious food, friendly service at this family-owned spot. Fresh hand-prepped veggies, tasty fresh fish and meats, flavorful sauces, fried foods done to perfection. Love the Lotus dinner broccoli beef or tofu/veggies entree. The Bar ...is my Cheers go-to spot. The welcoming, inclusive bartenders serve up generous drinks. Karaoke on Wed and Sat nights, hosted by KJ Eric of Karaokaholics United. Eric makes you feel like family. His mantra: There's no bad karaoke Huge, eclectic song selection ...just plain fun and good therapy! This is the place to make new friends and blow off some steam

Forgot my vaccination card so I wasn't able to be served. That's fine, but the server was rude about it and wouldn't let me do take-out either. The place was empty and I got the feeling she didn't want to have to work.

I liked the speedy service, the quality of the ingredients and the wonderful plain rice. What lacked was the amount of prawns and the chef’s disinterest in cutting items uniformly or having any remote sense of presentation of food.

Very disappointed by the food.Ordered two items that should be nearly impossible to get wrong. They got them both wrong.Chow mein has the right flavor, but under seasoned and watery. Did they forget to salt it?Chicken wings fried perfectly, but just as bland and under seasoned. Clear they expect you to dip wings in sauce, but they're so bland by themselves.Saw another review talking about how this food is great because it isn't MSG laden, but I found myself wishing there was some MSG in my food by my second bite. By the way MSG is no worse for you than table salt, and any negative sentiment around it is myth and bias.Portion size was great. From my takeout experience I would not order again or recommend it to anyone else. It also doesn't make me want to visit the restaurant in person.
