Went here this morning for the first time. Cannot believe I haven't been here before after living most of my life right by this place! Had a nice (and big) breakfast. The owner is a lovely lady from Newfoundland. Old style diner and it has a patio on the side and really reasonably priced beer! Can't wait until next Friday when I can go back and try dinner!
Have found this little diner, tucked away in a plaza that is excellent ! Prices are great, food is amazing and portions are huge. You have to try the Bendale Club, with real turkey, the sandwich is gigantic. The fries are yummy and the gravy is very yummy !!! I have tried many items on the menu and have enjoyed them immensely. You won't be disappointed.
Service with a smile, good home cooking and fast service. A family favourite for a quick lunch or even dinner. Fish and chips and sandwiches are very good.
We have been going here for the occasional Breakfast since we moved to the Toronto area, back in the 1990s. One of the very few places that are open early (7AM.) Portions are good and plenty and are properly cooked. Would always recommend this place for your typical North American style breakfast or lunch. You can't go wrong. Service is always cheerful and friendly. Inside has the ambiance of an old-style Diner from the 50s and 60s.
My hubby and I usually like stopping in here breakfast for dinner! We have been coming here since we were in our late teens in high schools . It is under new management and it has come a long way the cook is always so friendly , waitresses have been there forever . The only bad thing I wanna say is bring back the waffles! It may look like a hole in the wall but it's awesome and a staple in Scarborough .
I been coming to Bendale for the last 14 years and the breakfast is the best in the city. The price is fairly is cheap compare to EggSmart. Easy one of my favourite places to eat in Scarborough
Good food for the money. Home like North American food. Mashed potatoes, burgers, the " Newfie Fries" are crazy filling! New Mangement, instead making new menus, which are very nice, they need to give the place a good paint job! Much needing of fixing up!
