After 22 years of living in Lakeland, today I finally tried land chicken and fish. I have to say, I don't know if the holy Grail has a taste, but that must come quite close.  My wife and I had both fish sandwiches. Portions are HUGE! You know that a place is a good value when they have to stick the box closed. The okra tastes like it's bread in the house. Now we can't wait to go back and try the chicken.  I had no idea what I was missing!!

It took us a WHILE to find a really southern restaurant in the center of Florida. But we finally found it in Lakeland, Florida. This place has not been disappointed! We had only once tried to put Gizzards in another place and it was nice, we were not fans. But since this place was authentic, we decided to give it another way. They were fantastic! The fried chicken liver was also great. The prices were super reasonable. Waiting wasn't bad either. My wife had the fried fish sandwich I had a few bites. Probably one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had. There are some tables to sit, but the street noise is exaggerated and the area is not the largest after the darkness.
I love this place. It's just the best roasted chicken in Lakeland. Service is always friendly. The place is a walk-up and take-out, and ready to wait 10-15 minutes. But it's worth waiting. And try the Gizzards. I've never had Pizzards before my first trip here, but they were really good and I've been getting them for a few times.
This is an ironing on the side of the road, you go up to place your order on the counter. Absolutely amazing food you cannot ask for something better. Fries are great each side is great the chicken is great the fried fish is great. Sweet tea is the way Mommy did it when you are true southern person.

No matter if I’m visiting Lakeland or driving ties on I four country chicken and fish is a must stop by. There is no franchise that gives you the type of love that you get from this place. I’ve been coming since my childhood and so happy that you guys are still doing your own thingFood: 5/5
I have raved about thier fried chicken since the first and only time I had it. It is outstanding! I have been looking to going back there but wasn't able to find it. I am so happy that I've found this place again. I am definitely going back. Talk about finger lickin good!! 2 thumbs up. And some toes too.
