fairly new pool for this community - fun wave pool for the kids and 2 water slides for them to enjoy - lots of aerobic classes and fitness for all types - two swim teams to join but pick Duncan Stingrays if your interested they are the best and have wonderful coach's - lots of staff and "fun" leaders for kids - often have "theme" nights and their Halloween swims are a BLAST

As a big city reviewer that lives in Vancouver (w/in 12-minutes of downtown) I was very pleasantly impressed with this community centre. Staff were very friendly and the pool was really well maintained and fun for both my 4 year old and 10 year old… plus, change rooms were really clean. Very central & easy to access location.

Kids really enjoyed the wave pool, slide and overall fun of swimming here. We adults relaxed and chatted while we watched over the kids having fun. Was a good day all around.

Fun, clean and well maintained pool in Duncan. Wave pool, 2 waterslides and a lazy river. A great place to take kids for the afternoon. Prices are reasonable.

One of the best places in Duncan to visit. Here you'll find the library, including a community room that hosts everything from children's programs to meditation; the Portals Art Space with its revolving offerings of a range of arts; the Cowichan Theatre, with not only live but recorded performances of just about everything, plus a revolving gallery in the foyer; a zillion kinds of classes for all ages running all year long; and attached to it, a hockey rink; and across from it a public swimming facility with a great little coffee shop, a branch of Coffee on the Moon. Who could ask for more? Well, maybe some more support for the library, which could use more books!!!

Used aquatic center for two weeks while in Duncan. Cheap pass, excellent facility - something for everyone.

I like the manager of the aquatic centre as he helped me once with a problem I had in a professional manner. I also like the facilities as there is a gym with weights and cardio. This is a review for the lane swimmers out there, like me.When I have had a bad time at the Aquatic Centre it has usually centered around groups getting overly territorial. Like I was lane swimming one night and got asked to move for a swimming lesson. I complied and then a short time later I was asked to move for an aerobics class. I complied with that as well, went into the other pool, but the same aerobics class had decided to occupy both pools - cutting off end to end swimming in the small pool and three lanes of the big pool. That left all the individual lane swimmers to compete for a couple lanes in the middle, which was basically selfish of the class since they didn't need to block us all out.Not all visits to the pool have been like that, but there is some, call it 'periodic,' territorialism involved in getting what you pay to do if you want lane swimming. Attempts to inquire about how to come at a time when there is lane-swimming availability have failed ('we make groups work around individuals' - but not really). Not much in the area I'm afraid, with lakes only swimming comfortably from late May to early October. Usually this facility is good for lane swimming but it is touch-and-go as well.
