my wife was here twice while I was in the inner city of leesburg. this is a small but brilliant brewery. it feels like a hole in the wall dipping, but the staff is super beautiful, and the customers as well as warming and friendly. they have a large tape selection, huge cooler of beer to go, and decent clothes and glasses to buy. there are also plenty of seats in the open, including tables and chairs. I enjoyed how the bartender tried to get out and also collect empty ones. come here for cool vibes and cold delicious beer.

one of the best local breweries. do I need more? more seats in the open than seating in the interior. a couple of beerbrows and a few doses to go!

the guy who switched kegs and served with a bart was only an ABSOLUTE jack. my friends had more of their way and he says very rudely that they cannot be there on "my spatialities". So they move into the courtyard – where there are no signs – and he announces rudely loud that they cannot be there. then the young clean cut kerl comes past and says: “No, that he is wrong, we have a “banquet license” today they can be everywhere, feel free to come back” good, that is a hell no. as I said to the second guy, it wasn't about the message. it was the ERUDE-DIE. as a visitor from the bierstadt usa, I would like to invite the owners in asheville to learn hospitality on “Your premises”.

Crooked run is a staple in the brewery community within the county. The OG spot in Leesburg has been an intimate spot that I always enjoyed stopping by after a round of golf or a quick beer with friends during a bike ride. I was exclusively visiting the brewery before Covid but once that mess started I did a lot of to go cans to enjoy at home. I noticed that shortly after they expanded the Sterling location that they pulled back on the variety of beers and started doing fewer and fewer. I then noticed a change in taste and my coworkers confirmed the same assumption. I reached out to Crooked Run through Instagram and they confirmed they were tweaking recipes. I'm not in the business so I don't understand the limited varieties now or the tweaks to the brews but I've since limited my visits. I find it harder to find stuff I like and typically only go if there is a social event already planned there. The Leesburg spot is a must do during bar hopping but be sure to ask for a taster before getting a full pour of anything.

I just went in this bar as a test which has limited hours , but let me tell you it doesn't. The bar will serve who they approve, and they disaprove of people who don't fit in. If I were Crooked Run I'd be more inclusive and welcoming. This bar is filled with a bunch of white people that only cater to other whites that they are only friends with. The hours are bullshit I know it. This bar is a if you are cool enough, you can enter and be served place. Would not recommend for that reason. What a waste. I've heard the bartenders talking shit about how gross old people look. YUCK. Do better. And be kinder. And stop putting lactose in everything, fucking gross. They used to employ bartenders that used roofies too.

Super small underground style dive bar. Great beer choices and cozy atmosphere with cool independent music.

May be my third time here. They always have their classic favorites plus new beers on tap. They will let you sample the beers first. I tried the toastmaster but wasn't a fan so I got my usual the raspberry empress. The place is small with indoor and outdoor seating. There's minimal food options bit you are allowed to bring your own food.
