I finally made my way to Dat Cajun Guy!! Located in Haleiwa, Day Cajun Guy has jambalaya, po' boys, and most of your southern food staples.

What a great time our dining room group had at Dat Cajun Guy on Saturday night! The group expected Mexicans for Cinco de Mayo, but loved every bite of Chef Jordan's Cajun food. It was just the right enough spiciness for me about the shrimp remoulade, Gumbo and Jambalya. I can't say enough about the smokey taste of chewing gum! Jordan also fried fish and shrimps that were so light and tender with fabulous sauces to cover them. And of course you had us at beignets before we started. We enjoyed bringing our friends to the Gimminess we knew from the food truck. While this was a private party, you can get all these ono foods during the day plus more as Jordan serves breakfast and lunch. Come early for breakfast for the cookies! Check out his Facebook page for daily specials that you cannot go wrong! Thank you, Jordan, we'll see you soon!

Here's life! I'm Creole and we don't come home many times, military family, and we're constantly craving food from home. Don't get me wrong Hawaiian food is delicious, but in my opinion nothing can be top Creole/Cajun cuisine. The taste and smell of this food made our taste buds and teemies sing. Tonight I had the pork ribs, roasted Okra, and Jambalaya and my daughter had the shrimp-po-boy. For anyone who is not familiar with the Cajun/Creole food, this place is a great introduction. And for all Cajun/Creoles who are here and want a taste of home, this is your place. The owner, Jordan, is the best and one of the nicest guys. Listening to his Lousiana accent made me feel like I'm home.

I spent the first 25 years of my life in southwest Louisiana, the heart of the Cajun country, so I know good Cajun/Creole food when I see it. I was totally through the high quality of the jambalaya and po boys my wife and I had on this food truck on Oahu's northern shore. It was the hands down the best Cajun food I ever had outside Louisiana and was honestly better than many restaurants in Louisiana. We tried the jambalaya, oysters po boy (especially of the day), and New Orleans style BBQ shrimp po boy. All were excellent and I would assume that the whole menu is as authentic and fresh as these elements were. The staff was also very polite and professional they seemed to take their work seriously and it was very appreciated. They even brought the food to our table.

Visited their new dine-in location in Haliewa and was blown away by both the authenticity of the cuisine and the graciousness of the staff, including the owner. I'm a native Louisianian with Cajun roots so I must admit I was a bit skeptical at first. The owner saw my LSU hat and came out to personally greet us. He took time to chat and through our conversation you could tell he has a true passion for sharing authentic Cajun cuisine with locals and tourists from around the world alike. In fact, he and the staff made sure to show aloha to everyone else dining while we were there. We had a variety of delicious poboys but the best was the NOLA style bbq shrimp. Great food, atmosphere and people. They even serve Community Coffee with chicory!
