El Amigo

I passed late before the closing, the restaurant served me and a friend. I had tres tacos de carne asada con cebolla y cinlantro con corn tortillas. very good street tacos. the chip and salsa was very tasty and a good recipe. then I came into the cooler and bought a Michaelo-frozen chili mango cup. very good freezer.

wont be here, eating was burned, then when it was time to pay and leave I was with 4 workers and winning to separate our meals, so we can pay separately for what we all order. they forced one of us to pay for eveyone in a transaction. the type was very arrogant.

dreadful place no chips for the salsa at the beginning brings the waiter salsa on the table and sadly says no chip today the we ordered cheese fries for starter and tells us sorry no fries to top it has its shirt unbunted with its hairy chest hanging very unattractiw was anxious to say his chest hair on the food he serves again unnecessarily go to say that

First time here and definitely not the last. The horchata was phenomenal, best I’ve ever had. The breaded chicken torta was amazing as well. Hats off to the gentleman who greeted us, answered phone calls, took our order, clean tables, and still remained friendly. Definitely recommend.

Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Good prices. I've yet to have a bad experience.

Today, New Years Eve, 1/31/21, I stopped in at El Amigo to order me and my Mother some authentic Mexican food. I regret not asking the guy who took my order his name. I suspect possibly the Owner. His Customer Service was over the top. I am confined to a wheelchair and before I even made it the door someone was there to open it for me, and greet me. It gets better. The Owner, or perhaps he is the Manager, told me not once, but twice, if I ever place another order, to just call it in and they will bring it right out to me. He made me feel important, and I could tell, it was not just a sales pitch, he was genuine and meant it. I placed my order and he told me to just go out to my vehicle, pull up to the front doors, and he would have my meals brought out to me. I greatly appreciate the genuine concern he showed. Sometimes it's difficult wheeling through a parking lot with a lap full of food. He recognized this and took care of it for me. Not only all of these great experiences at El Amigo, but the food is fantastic as well. I have been to their restaurant numerous times and the food has never disappointed. When I get a craving, El Amigo automatically pops into my head. Great food, great people!

Best Mexican food in Northwest Indiana. Their steak is amazing
