The sushi at this restaurant is very poor and overpriced.The green tea was watered down. The place was very cheap. The floor was dirty. Prices on the menu were changed with a pen. When we received our bill, they charged us for an extra miso soup. If you take a Special Box, you have to pay to have a miso soup with it. There are much better sushi restaurants in the neighborhood for the same price. I will not return to Everyday Sushi Bar.

You get what you pay for This place provides a lot of food at middling prices for average product. For students and budget diners- it fits the bill. Foodies need not apply.
Just made an appointment with my friends there, the chef's recommendation rolls were impressive and gorgeous, and the sashimi flowers were perfect. I'm sure I will come to visit this sushi restaurant with my friends again.
Came on a Sunday night because Hime a few doors down was shut. Reviews seemed ok. Arrived just after 5pm, we were literally the only customers. The menu was very deep, with all kinds of specials, in addition to more specials posted on random signs around the restaurant and out front. Hard to follow everything. End of the day, we ordered some simple rolls (spicy tuna, yam tempura, dynamite, dragon) and I also had some chicken soba noodles. The tuna and yam came out in about one minute, and were clearly not made fresh. Rolls were quite sloppy in construction and consistency. The dynamite and dragon rolls were ok, but again the shrimp tempura were not even warm. The noodles were ok but a bit bland in taste and the chicken was not high quality meat. Overall the food wasn't too expensive, and it wasn't the worst sushi I've had, but really nothing to recommend.
What can make a small place, not even close to city center, survive and survive well? Just the simplest of them all: give the customers good food for money and you will be safe!In this sushi bar you will find great sashimi and nigiri, but especially fancy rolls, mainly variations of the California roll, but done with fantasy and good results. It's worth a stop coming back from UBC to Vancouver!
My son and I had dinner in this restaurant on a weekday evening. The menu was fairly varied with a number of sushi plates and combos on offer. The food was very tasty and a good value. The restaurant was clean and the staff very friendly. If you are staying near UBC or in West Point Grey, this is a good place for a tasty, economical meal.
