Great place for soul food. Ordered the oxtail with crowned greens and candied Yams. It was great! Oxtail was tender and well seasoned. Rice was cooked directly with the engraving. I definitely come back.

My son and I decided to try Granny Dees in Spring Texas after reading great reviews online and in a local newspaper. We were not disappointed, the food reminded me of the good ole home cooking from both grandmothers. And the portion sizes are generous and delicious! Very recommended and a clear repetition for our family.
Best catfish I've ever had. Amazingly moist and delicate. Husband had the bride and said it was the best he ever had. Pages were also great.
Let me tell you something! I have ordered about DoorDash from this place since 2020 from November and today was the first time there personally with my friend because I wanted him to try it, I told him how delicious the food is! Long story short, he loved and as I did as usual! This is BEAUTIFUL SOUL COOK
Try for yourself because this is some good ole soul food ! Got the smothered pork chop , greens and cabbage ! I highly recommend this place if your in the area! Quick fresh made to order food you will enjoy ! Good portion size (partly ate before pic )for the price and yummy cornbread.
The collard greens were exceptional. I enjoyed the meatloaf, rice gravy, mashed potatoes and cornbread as well. Hubs had the 3 pieces fried catfish and fries. It also comes with a side salad but my husband doesn 't eat vegetables. He said it was good and there were more fries than he could eat. He also said, I 'd eat there again, which speaks volumes. There 's a very small dining room with about 5 tables. TV had the Rockets game on. Most people ordered by phone and came in to pick up but there were never any empty tables while we were there. Drinks are canned or bottled cokes and water... I assume since most of their business is take away. We also picked up a piece of chocolate cake for later. Granny Dee, we 'll definitely be back.

I stopped by after church and my $60 bucks was a terrible waste!The BBQ was not fresh and covered in tooo much sauce (to hide the fact that it was old meat).I have never, I repeat, I have never ever ordered an ox tail plate for $30 with such little food! The barely gave any rice and I had to search for gravy! Mac n cheese was basic and cannied yams was nothing to brag about.The service was suppppper slow (they had signs saying that it may be slow).I dont mind waiting, IF its worth the wait annnnd this food ISN'T ?The cake, potato salad, and oxtails were decent.The baked beans came out of a can literally!Listennnn: Dont wast your time or money?
