I liked this place very much but I considered giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because there are some areas in the experience that could be improved. Overall, the food was great and my beers were great and that 's what counts. As a place that is more restaurant than bar it 's really loud inside. The bar, where we waited for our table, feels unwelcoming for some reason. The shear number of beers is so great that the staff can scarcely give an informed opinion, but they do offer samples generously. I 'm not sure if there 's a remedy for these things except for the loud interior which could be addressed with acoustic treatment in the ceiling. Unfortunately, it 's often ignored and most places are just loud as a feature . The real reason I considered a 4 star review is because while the food was great, the presentation was underwhelming. Everyone at my table loved their meal. The serving temperature was perfect. All of the key features of a meal were met except how the plates looked. The guacamole looked a bit oxidized and the warm color of the plates flattened out the appearance of the fried items which would normally look appetizing. With my eyes closed it was excellent. My recommendations are white plates or something cooler in color and chilling out the acoustic reflections. Investing in some acoustic treatment for the ceiling would go a long way. Unless you have a lot of difficulty in loud places there is much to enjoy. I 'm sure dinner and drinks outside in warmer weather is fantastic.
