I've been past this place for years and always curious. We are seafood lovers in my family. Finally we stopped and our thoughts were blown. We stopped on a Friday that is the only day of the week that they cook (sadly). They were well filled with fresh seafood, prefabricated salads and the like. I ordered a hot lobster roll and my aunt ordered a pound of fried scallops. We shared an order from their house French Pommes. The Lobster was delicious and the bungalow was perfectly roasted. The scallops were freshly fried and delicate. Even the French hit it out of the park. Go! We'll be back.
This place is the epitome of fresh seafood. A varied selection of fish, crabs and other fruits of the sea. I have bought everything and taken home from the excellent Schellfisch fry dinner to tuna steaks and various seafood. If you enjoyed Cousin Fish Market before they close, you will appreciate the Harvest Moon Market. Staff are knowledgeable and very efficient.
Never disappointed if you buy something at Harvest Moon! We picked up 200 small bottlenecks for a meeting on Sunday. You were great! You were the best shells?
My wife and I aren't usually fish people but decided to branch out some. The staff here were super friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain different fish options and cooking techniques. We got home, followed their cooking advice and lunch turned out amazing.
I?ve never seen a better or more fresh selection of fish anywhere in the capital district. I come from a city closer to the ocean and am used to ?fresh off the boat? fish. Harvest moon delivers this and more. I?ve been coming here weekly for years. These guys drive down to NYC or Boston multiple times a week and return with fresh fish/oysters/crab etc. The Chilean sea bass and char are phenomenal. You won?t be disappointed!
Once again Harvest Moon help create the perfect meal at our home for New Years Eve! Succulent Alaskan King Crab Legs, green beans almandine from their produce case and French Champagne from others! YUM!
I was in the restaurant business for 20 years at which time I bought most of my seafood direct from Boston. I have never seen a finer selection of fresh seafood than is available at the Harvest Moon Fish Market. I have NEVER been disappointed with their great service and sumptuous product!
