Adorable Hotel on the main road in downtown Highlands. My room was impeccable and stylish with a very comfortable bed. The lobby is cozy with a wood stove. The hotel staff was polite and welcoming. After I checked out and was good at my car home, they called me to know that I left my AirPods in my room. I really didn't want to turn around to get her because I miss putting my son in bed. The GM offered very kindly to send her home instead. I'll stay with the Highlander every time I come back to Highlands! Book now, you won't regret it.

Great hotel. So picturesque and in the best location and the most beautiful interior. I don't write reviews, but we were definitely disappointed by the service during low season. No fire in the lobby and the bar/restaurant closed at 5 p.m., that was so enthralled as we were so excited to drink a front dinner there. The hostess also turned all the lights down and had no music or anything that made the vibe very unwilling. There were many visitors who were not at the hotel who also came to drink a drink and were also turned away what I think is a missed opportunity. Finally, we asked the hostess if we could buy at least one bottle of wine that she overloaded us at $80 and fortunately we caught her. I would stay in this hotel again, but definitely not in low season.

Our favorite night spot in Highlands! The storage room is cozy, authentic and perfectly curated. The staff is gracious and hospitable, and the food and drink are excellent. Very recommended!!

Came here for NYE. $150 per person. I ordered steak with stone crab. Steinkrab wasn't cracked. How are you eating stone crab that isn't cracked? We asked for more Bernaisesoße and were told there was no more? I thought it was strange because the Bernaisesoße can be manufactured quite quickly. Band was great what was a saving grace, but no NYE horns or hats or something were offered. I know I could be bought at Ingalls 4 for $7 for a Huthorn and Popper. Surprising given the cost. And here we were all dressed in sequins and this woman was sweating and jeans running around to help the servers. All in all very disappointing for $150 per person.

We HMH! We try to visit every few months as this is the place where everything just feels right. We have always stayed in the main house for the convenience of the restaurant and cozy lobby fireplace the best place to read a good book or just think. Each room has been decorated differently in terms of antiques, furniture, art, wallpaper, lighting. We have a few favorite rooms, but none are disappointing! Staying st HMH feels like you are staying at an old British family friends’s home. It’s delightful and unique!

We had the best time at HMH. It's definitely a laid back atmosphere which we enjoyed. The staff members were all so friendly and the room was decorated so well. If we're ever back in the area we'll be sure to stay here again.Rooms: 5/5

We chose to come to Highlands because of the Highlander Mountain House. A friend of ours told us about it and we started following on Instagram. We were charmed, as it appeared to be reminiscent of an English country Inn. We were a bit hesitant to stay as we feared it could be loud, due to the fact that they have a dining room and bar with rooms above and also host music concerts. We talked to Audrey on the phone and she assured us it would be fine. Our stay did not disappoint, we were greeted by a friendly staff who personally showed us to our quaint English style room, which was impeccably cleaned with all of the charming old world details, from the shower to the wingback chair to the balcony overlooking Main Street. Our dinner was first rate a little steep in price for the quantity) we took a fan so sleeping was very quiet and cozy. Being an early riser, I went down for a cup of coffee in the morning and found a lovely fire crackling, lights dim and lots of candles lit and enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee by the fire. We will most certainly be back. Such and beautiful diversion to a hotel room!!! We did not eat breakfast here as it seemed pretty expensive and we are not heavy breakfast eaters.
