7/30/2021 (5 stars) First time here. A truly unique local restaurant. While the food service is not fast, I think it's so great. Will come back when this city is over again!!

Exceptional good hamburgers, milk shakes and ice cream. Houghts is a long time La Grande summer tradition. You know the summer has come when Houghts opens! The attitude is simple, and it is family style is a reminder of the traditional values that are lasting and lasting.
Black milkshake! Very sad that we came open for the season on their last day, because I have since believed another milkshake. The fries were also great! My friends had burgers and liked it.
Great frits and ice cream!! Love the outdoor seats and they have a water bowl for the dogs and sell Pup cone for a quarter. We love this place, one of the best parts of every summer, especially ice cream after a hike!
Wonderful little place. Super friendly and good food. Really like the feel of the restaurant and how they make you feel at home no matter where your from. You get to see them make everything for you. If your in the area just driving through it staying stop in and have a wonderful meal. Don't forget the ice cream.
Wonderful old fashioned hamburger and ice cream place! If you love mom and pop places this is a must. Great fresh burgers, hand scooped shakes, hot krinkle cut fries. This is what other places are trying to initiate but this is the real deal. Stopped by on our way through La Grande and so glad we did!
Awesome little diner/Ice cream shop. Friend staff/owners. My oldest son and I stopped by for two ice cream cones, we both had a great time, him and I both enjoying the 1950s look. Hasn't changed much in the last 10-15 years at least. Cash is preferred, but cards are all accepted.
Why visit fast food spots when your meal can make memories! A charming traditional 50s style diner with great hospitality to match. We stopped in for dinner on a road trip and it was brilliant, far out shining any mainstream fast food alternatives.
