Humble Pie Kitchen

Wonderful deliciousness found in downtown Dartmouth. Stop in here for a pie and you'll be thankful you did. They've taken what was thought to be traditional British meat pies and made them into tasty sensations. Ginger chicken, buffalo wing, steak and cheese...all winners!

The term "New Zealand cuisine" doesn't generally trigger much of a response unless you've experienced the mouthwatering fare of this perfectly located establishment in downtown Dartmouth. The Kiwi-style savoury pie is without question the best example of what is more commonly associated with the British pub. Pastry perfection stuffed with copious quantities of imaginative fillings, these offerings will have you hooked after the first bite!

For those of you who don't know, these little parcels of deliciousness are a Kiwi creation (as in from New Zealand, NOT made from Kiwi lol.) The owner makes some of the most scrumptious pies to have ever tickled our taste buds. Unlike anything else we have here in NS should you ever need a comfort food, hold out your plate for a little Humble Pie! Another great Dartmouth location where the staff are as awesome as their food! One time in a bind, my daughter had no lunch (She's 10) along with out exchange student, we work full time and with the lunch forgotten at home, I called in to see if someone could run pies up to her and our exchange student. Without hesitation the lovely young lady was happy to oblige. Without their dedicated staff, friendly nature and delicious pies, they have truly earned their name of Humble Pie.

stopped by to talk to the owner Mike and tried the steak and cheese pie...super delicious and it is obvious there is a lot of work put into the food to offer the best quality product.

This little spot on the corner of King and Ochterloney Streets in Dartmouth is still relatively unknown to many of our friends. If you are up for something different, and want a dinner that will please all, consider stopping by for an individual pie!The larger individual pies (although my husband and I can split one if we have sides made at home) is $10.00 and the smaller individual pies are $6.00 (includes HST.) Trust me, there will be a pie for all tastes. We usually purchase 5 or 6 and split them up with all with a side salad when we get home. A real treat for our older kids. I find the pastry dough to be perfect for a savory pie. flaky enough and golden. Each pie has a marking in dough (small symbol) to let the buyer know what they have. So, if you want to purchase multiple pies to take home for dinner to share, you will have a sheet to let you know what the markings refer to. Brilliant. Steak n Cheese, Beef

A tiny place with seating form maybe 10 which serves individual pies like hamburgers. The savoury pies were delicious! We had the steak and cheese and the chicken, cranberry and brie. The only complaint was the filling was so hot we had to be patient in eating it which was difficult because it was so good. A must spot to go for food!
