Excellent food. A hidden jewel. We were looking for seafood and the mussel-chowder and the steamed shells were exactly what we needed. The timing of food delivery was perfect. Very recommended.

Yesterday evening for apps and beer. Now I can only talk to the Calamari, Spring Rolls and Boom Boom Wing, me and my friends had a great time! Big bar, big cook, great time! Hit this hidden jewel!
My husband and I love this place!! We travel from Middletown to eat here! The ambience is soothing and the servers are always amazing! Btw, they have the best Clam-Chowda I've had since life in Rhode Island!
oysters and a beer while the kids go to eat... I was here a few times, had nothing yet. Friendly staff, the chicken pahhhm is absolutely delicious and a huge portion.
This is a nice place for a quiet dinner. The staff was friendly and able to take care of our party of 5 with ease. We ordered several items that were all served hot and quick. The portions were very good sized with the Chicken Parm overflowing the bowl. We ordered the special squash ravioli which was very good but came out nearly 10 minutes after everyone else. The wine list is limited, but well chosen. Several of the beer taps offered were out, it is off season so that didn’t surprise but the chalkboard menu would be easy to keep up to date. Another nice place to visit in the area.
Just happened upon this place as my boat was at a nearby Marina. Staff and Girl Chef ?were extremely friendly and engaging. The Clam Chowder was some of the Best I’ve ever had !!! Could easily have made a meal out of it. My entre was a chicken parm which I couldn’t even finish… Highly recommend.
I can't say enough good things about J22. We love this cozy spot. They have a great menu that changes throughout the year, great drink options and they are open year round! We bring all of our guests here and they love it!
We came here for dinner with friends who eat here every week. We asked the waitress what cocktails they have and she mentioned a blueberry lemonade martini, which two of us tried. It was very tart from the lemonade and had zero blueberries (no color or taste). Our salads were very good, mesclun with peaches and raw yellow squash. They have 4 different hearty salads to choose from. For our entree we shared the paella, which was very tasty and had shrimp and mussels. It could have used a bit more seafood. Our waitress was very attentive.
