Jay Bee's Restaurant

I love this place and have loved it over the past few years as it has changed management and undergone its renovations. I love this little restaurant because every dish I have ever ordered has tasted like home. Breakfasts are great, eggs, beef sausage, crispy waffles. Dinners try the burger, the salads, the liver and onions are some of the best in the city. Try something new in Edmonton and you won't be disappointed.

We came in at 11:00 and noticed most people were eating breakfast type meals, eggs, pancakes, etc. We asked if the patio was open and was told it was. Went out and I was a little afraid we might be stuck out there because the door had no handle to get back in and the gate was locked. After waiting 10 minutes we debated whether anyone was coming to serve us and if the gate was not locked we would have left. Someone finally came and took our order. The food was okay for breakfast diner style, similar to Haps Hungry House on the West End of the city, but maybe not as good as that. After eating we waited and finally a waiter came to serve another table. I said loudly enough "should we just dash out without paying"? and he did turn and look but said nothing. Finally we went back in and paid at the counter. Maybe because I last came here 30 years ago nostalgia made me like it more than I should have. If they had servers that showed a little hustle and maybe if we had not gone out to the patio it would be a great place. And it was reasonably priced.

From the time my family and I opened the front door we were already greeted with a smile . Quickly escorted to our table , cups of Joe were flowing and the kids brought juices of there choice . The ambeince is delightful, a perfect spot for the family to bond over lunch and get caught up on great conversation . The menu has endless possibilities and once ordered out meal was out prompt . For my kids to devour ever last bite you know the quality has to be phenomenal and my wife and I were delighted so much we continued sharing each other's plate feeding one another bites. We already have our next Sunday planned for another trip back to Jay Bee's.

If you enjoy a decent home cooked meal in a rustic setting and service with a smile? Then this is the place for you! Fast, friendly and efficient service. They aim to please! If your looking for that old fashioned "home cooked" meal and a friendly face. Then Jay Bees is your place!

Good old school serve great food and tons of coffee with your own craft on the table the food is the best hands down! Try the homemade pies I had a cherry with ice cream my mouth still waters every time I think about it! Differently a hidden Gem!

Friendly service as always. Quick to bring drinks and condiments. Food came up in a timely manner and was as good as it always is. Reasonable for breakfast prices. I enjoy this place often. Only downside is the neighborhood.

Went for lunch today , last time I was in this place was in the 60s, service was great, got a waitress that was here since 1978. She recommended the liver and onions which I enjoyed very much. Home style cooking and menu. I would return if back in this part of town.
