Those who know me know that I grade according to price, service, quality of food and what the place pretends to be and how well they pull it off. This place is a local icon, actually it is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the food is wonderful, the portions are enormous, the service is excellent, the restrooms are spotlessly clean. Imagine excellent meatloaf (tastes like my father's recipe, which is extraordinary), fresh coleslaw, green salad and ranch beans with homemade rolls and iced tea for $8.00, all large portions and served by a pleasant waitress. I wonder if you can imagine that these days, but they have it, real home cooked comfort food in large portions for low prices. Looks seedy on the outside but your insides will be very glad you stopped. Mine certainly were. This is five stars on my VALUE scale of 0-5.
