had dinner there, enjoyed most of our food. it was easy to say what vegan was on the menu. the gobi manchurian never arrived, but we had enough to eat. fresh mango salad was great, and so was the dosa. the mango curry was so. the menu says that the minze chutney is not vegan, but the waiter said that it is vegan and the menu has a mistake.

I was on so many vegan sites, including one with a Michelin star. that's almost so good. If they're vegan, they'll have to come here. so incredible. I recommend the roti paratha and dessert. it often changes, but it is homemade by the owner woman. Today it was an eukalyptus cocooseis with home made chocolate and rose water. the lotus root kofta was like a hearty chai (not sweet at all) curry. also the Auberginen-Dosa and Erdnuß-Bordi were very good. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea, but I don't recommend tante noodles. it was delicious, but not almost as good as the other dishes.

I visited Malabar yesterday evening with two friends, so we could share some dishes. the menu shows vegan options with a w we started with two redis that were delicious. we also had a tofu appetizer, tahu gareng. the menu says it is a roasted tofu dish with a tamarinde and ananas glaze, but it seemed a block of tofu with glaze on it and the tofu was bland inside. I had my favourite dish from this restaurant, the tempeh la la la la la la la la. the tempeh is crispy with a sweet sauce. my friends enjoyed their dishes a huge dosa and steak diane. the interior of the restaurant is beautiful with candles and open seating. but we visited live music. the music itself was nice, but it was very loud and made it difficult to talk to my friends. the service is sometimes immaculate. the meals of my friends were delivered before me and I had to ask if the waiter had heard my order. it also took some time to get our jack. I came here because my friends wanted, but my experiences from pastness made me a little bit careful, especially when the music is too loud at our visit.

Five stars for flavor, presentation and plant based options! One of my favorite places in Santa Cruz! So worth the money for the quality and quantity. What a treat!

Malabar is a super cute family-run Sri Lanka Restaurant. Though it’s more modern fusion then authentic, but in a very enjoyable way. They had live peaceful music, and very flavorful meals. We ordered the gobj Manchurian, the butternut squash ravioli in a curry sauce, the truffle mushroom curry dosa, the cheese Khota (Sri Lankan street dish which basically tastes like a pad Thai with cheese), and a cashew vegan ice cream. Highly recommend and will definitely revisit!

Ate here last night. The food was sooo yummy! Everything we got was fantastic. There is such a variety on the menu of things that sounded delicious we literally could not decide and had the waiter recommend various dishes. The prices were amazingly reasonable. The cauliflower fritters were my favorite, although it was hard to choose since everything was so great. One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Santa Cruz County, by far. I only wish I had found it sooner!

My family and I had dinner here just tonight. This was an amazingly good restaurant with creative, delicious food presented beautifully. Despite (or perhaps in response to) some older reviews here, the menu has vegan and gluten-free items clearly marked. We ordered a total of eight dishes (five appetizers and three mains) and each one was better than the last. I don't know enough about Sri Lankan cuisine to know if this is representative of the cuisine in general or just the chef's touch, but the mix of flavors and textures was just outstanding. Prices were incredibly reasonable. We are in town on vacation; we joked that we'd consider moving to Santa Cruz just to be able to eat here regularly. At least I thought we were joking ... You must must must try this place.

so this location works: a personal welcomes them when they enter the pub. if they are over 21 and plans to drink, they show him or her card, give them a credit card and in return they receive an electronic bracelet and a glastasse. now starts the fun: they now have access to what feels like a never ending wall of alcohol taps, from gluten-free to acidic to pale to ipa to dark to wein. tap on the touchscreen on any drink that interests them, read them about when they are ready to choose between taster (2oz), flight (4oz), or full of electronic bands, tap on their screen with poor light. it makes so much fun to taste different drinks and I'm not even a great alcohol person. eating: they have a menu on the table, but it is also displayed on 2 flat-screen TVs in the back. Look at what you want. when they are ready to order and pay them in the back. reviews: eating is quite good. the srirachoes (her nachos), pork bells and house pretzel were very good. the turf street tacos and southwest queensadilla were ok (not spectacular, but also not bad). eat alone, I'd give 4 stars. the service was great! all the servers were so nice and expected what we needed before we even asked. definitiw 5 stars! total: definitiw a 5-star experience! I've never been to such a restaurant. it remembers my kindness when we went to the las vegas coca cola store and have all the different types of koks aromen to taste. bring them some close friends! it makes more fun with a group!
