Modern Bar And Restaurant

This is the place to stay in Boise. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and immaculate and the towels were large and soft. The walk in the shower was amazing and well appreciated after the day to see the sights of downtown Boise. The location is perfect. Free breakfast was delicious

AWESOME Hotel! We had every intention to explore Boise in a night we stayed in town. But we didn't want to leave the hotel that we had such a good time. Great mood, great cocktails, great service, incredible food what?s better? Our room was clean and comfortable. We loved our stay! Anyway, stay here on our next trip to Boise. And it is dog friendly also, what is always a bonus if we can bring the pup with us!

Great location, right on the green belt, state capitol and restaurants! The Uber Service to/from the airport and the free bike rentals were a HUGE plus, coupled with the amazing restaurant on site (with a large simple free breakfast also! Really a fun weekend away and you never need to touch your car we have cafés, peasant market, wineries, breweries, museums, many hang on the greenbelt in the Boise River and under the trees in the park.. it was great! Thank you. Modern for a great weekend?

Good rooms, huge showers, and easy access to downtown. Staff were cordial, but aloof. I went into the bar for a beer and was served, however, bar staff were not engaging. Just huddled up, speaking amongst themselves. Food was very good. Katie, our server, was a bright spot.

Outstanding stay. Dog friendly, in fact, our little puppy girl joined us for dinner on the patio. Great food at the restaurant. Large room, fantastic shower. Nice staff. Great value.

Excellent location, close to everything. Room was comfortable, roomy and well equipped. Very comfortable bedding, I slept through the night which is rare! Bar and restaurant was excellent. Staff was very friendly. You will not be disappointed if you stay at the Modern!

This was our first time staying here and overall we really enjoyed it. The people make this place what it is: everybody was friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. We were able to walk to many places, including the restaurants downtown, in about 5 minutes. Rumor has it that there is some drag racing and lots of engine revving on Friday and Saturday nights, but it didn't seem to bother us. Our biggest complaint was with the breakfast: it was super tiny (the frittata was a couple bites only) and the only fruit selection was a bunch of bananas. If you offer free breakfast as a selling point for this stay, please offer a more substantial breakfast with more options: Hubs got granola and Greek yogurt but it had been made so far in advance that the granola was soggy and tasteless. We ate there on the first morning only and then left to go eat somewhere else for the remainder of our time: an expense we didn't think we'd have. To end on a positive note: the housecleaning staff was super friendly and kind, and the overall vibe of this place is kitsch-y cool. The vines covering the balconies and the landscaping around the restaurant are lovely touches. Dinner at this place is not to be missed (and we saw that a lot of locals would come here too). Food and wine selections were great.
