hubby and I came to dinner last night. it was still early for din in a hurry, but the delivery and delivery orders are crazy busy all the time we are.
That's funny. I used to eat at/from mona lisa all the time and every dish was incredible. tonight we have delivery. two dishes, chicken.
we were looking forward to trying their pizza as they were one of the best rated. I'm so sorry we were very disappointed. the pizza looked nice, but unfortunately had no taste. we ordered it with mushrooms and meatballs and they have not added any taste. I couldn't say what was missing, but unfortunately we don't think we'll try for pizza again. had so great hopes. the personal was very nice. Maybe the other one will be better.
do not order the cavatelli bolognese, it was rancid. I just made it home to stone before I lost it at both ends. not a pretty side. everything from the reservation, the dinner, the service, the seat was a catastrophe! if they are looking to go here for a good meal, go elsewhere, it is not worth waiting.
really good food. this is an authentic Italian place. They can see everything that is done, which is quite cool. more beautiful place to hold or collect a small party. they could improve in some of the cleanliness, but that seems common in pizza shops.
ordering a Grandma pizza (shown on the counter) has asked the server what it was. as it seemed to have fresh basilikum, thick brot and fresh mozz. she said oma. I ordered cake. with the children to realize that it was nothing like what they had on the theke. no basil on cake. barely. thin crust, worse cake we've had for a long time. When I called, they said that you can pick up another cake, I didn't say any way (ready to house in the whole city with 3 children) and so oh well sorry. I will never order from here again!
We ordered all appetizers and Pizza which was very good. Even better, they have live entertainment every Friday. Lou was impressive nailed the Frank Sanotra classics. My girls brought their friends and they also enjoyed themselves. Ask for the area under the tent for up close live music entertainment. Tables in the back for a more quiet scene.
