Montana's BBQ & Bar

We went to this Montana's after we went to the Terre Bleu Lavender Farm.We had the lunch specials and the kids meals for my friend's daughter. I had the soup, salad and 1/2 sandwich special (roast beef soup, caesar salad and 1/2 pulled pork sandwich) My friend had the Mac and Cheese lunch special that came with a garden salad, and her daughter had the Scoobi Doo Noodles with butter sauce. All the meals were the perfect size for lunch and tasty.We also enjoyed sitting on the patio and the good service. We were very pleased with this choice for lunch.

During a long road trip my wife and I decided to stop for dinner before reaching home. We stopped here around 7 PM, so well after any sort of dinner rush. As a matter of fact it was almost deserted with only 3 or 4 other tables seated. My wife and I both ordered drinks and a meal only. Our drinks came out within 20 minutes of ordering and my wife's meal came out only 15 minutes later (yes I am being facetious).So after that interminably long wait her food my wife sat and waited for my meal to arrive. I asked her to please eat after 5 minutes as her meal would have been ruined if it got any colder.After another 45 minutes the server came and took away her empty plate and asked if there would be anything else. I asked if my meal would be out anytime soon.She laughed and asked if i would like another meal. I explained I had never gotten the first one. She apologized for the error and said it would be out within 20 minutes. I suggested an appropriate place to put the meal and asked for our bill. They charged us for all items including the meal that was never brought out.At this point we left.

On way back to MI area from Ontario vacation. Stopped in as in-laws had given us gift cards to company that owns this chain. Place was empty yet food out of kitchen was slow. Took forever for spinach dip appitizer to arrive, It was good. Took another long while for food. BBQ beef plate was luke warm, side bake potatoe was not cooked enough and not hot. Server was nice and friendly and helpful.

I went there with family and found some fajitas (all you can eat) for 20 bucks! I thought it was a good deal....

Had been a while since we've been to Montana's thought we would try after the renovation. We chose to sit at the bar rather than the dining room. That was a mistake.......As the service we received was very poor and disappointing. The Server / Bar Maid appeared to be complacent an put fourth no real effort to provide a decent level of customer service. She seemed to be distracted and engaged in conversation with her coworkers. After the initial drink and meal was delivered, there was no follow up, nor did she offer to refresh the drinks that sat empty on the table for over 20 minutes. When she eventually stopped by, I just asked for the check, paid it, and left. Substandard Service = No GratuityPerhaps management personnel should consider provide adequate supervision and to support the working the staff working then front line to ensure an appropriate level of customer service is provided to the customer.

Unfortunately our dinners were cold. Worse, when we mentioned it to our server, she was absolutely perplexed on what to do. Not wanting to waste the meats especially, I asked her for a new baked potato, which came piping hot. I think we should have returned all our dinners as we would have enjoyed them more. Also, the steak was thin at one end and thick at the other, so it was not cooked well throughout.

Service was very bad on this particular day on a Saturday night. We were greeted at the front, that was all fine tho. We sat ourselves at the bar for a good 15-20 mins and no waiters appears to come to the section were seated. After that, I just flagged down a waiter to get an attention. We were so hungry, so we just order right away when she came after a table she was at. And the waiting game comes..... waiting and waiting. Asking our waiter multiple of times," how long the food is going to be ready." She was quite rude about it, telling us that a table ordered before us and they didn't got they food. Also, she said that you guys will be last to get our food. By the way, my friends and I did not tip the waiter a single cent because it not very deserved. Not a place to come back again since the service is slow and very very rude, if anything improvements are make I would come back!Positive notes:- nice atmosphere-delicious food especially the firecracker burger
