I remember going here to special occasions as a child. I am happy to share this tradition with my own family now. my friend and I stayed in the night before. we were greeted immediately and sitting at our reservation. the whole staff was friendly and made it a warm welcome from the beginning. the service for ordering was great and the waiter T.J made very helpful recommendations and answered all our asking above and beyond what was put. eating came in a timely occasion and was very nicely displayed. the hospitable friend of all staff during our visit was wonderful. I had to drink the vertebrate raisin with a spatula. my friend has the saurbs to eat and drink the heavenly beer. the service size is enough to feed a king. I could finish my plate and she couldn't finish and needed a to-go box. overall, this facility proved to be a perfect choice and lived up to its call. I highly recommend here for dates, seasons or other special occasions. I recommend reservations because of high demand here to dine. many thanks to all those who make our jubilee special and make my friends so great for the first time that they want to continue a tradition of coming.

I usually used to like this place but it has gone down in service. The dumb waiter gave us our drinks after we ate out meal! What a bufoon. Who wants a cocktails after you eat? They should have given the late drinks on the house. Never again.

We ordered the potato pancakes as an appetizer and Rouladen for the entree. Both were perfect.

One of the best restaurants in the Hudson Valley, and definitely the best near the Gunks.

We went for Father's Day and Juneteenth. In the past the service was good. This time it took nearly 2 hours to get our entrees. There was a long wait for appetizers and an even longer wait for entrees. No concession was offered for this lack of service and in fact a 20% tip was automatically added into the bill. On top of this I was given the wrong entree and a second glass of iced tea was apparently an exceedingly difficult task forgotten in the haste to set the tables for the next day (Monday). I know there is a great worker walk-out but I was bordering on taking this personally. We were polite and patient the entire time, yet we were the last party to walk out of the restaurant. I was tempted to ask them if they had cots so we could sleep overnight instead of heading back close to 10 at night. I'd hesitate to go back with the entire family. And if I decided to venture the restaurant again with just my husband, if we had a long wait again, we would just walk out next time.
