it is nice to have some vegan options in the art museum. there were no hot dining options that were vegan the day we went, so we have an Asian reisnudelsalat from the tomb-n-go cooler that was decent. we rounded our meal with a vegan leaves from bakery (excellent!, cappuccino with mandelmilch (excellent!) and a fruit cup. not bad!

mushrooms, tofu and hummus wrap had both honey and cheese in it. the personal was nice and there were some snack options. updated by previous review on 2021-10-02
we eat regularly in this cafeteria, whether we come to the right museum or come strictly for eating. in the past was an Indian rice tasty; recently the menu was a block of boiled tofu with steamed brokkoli and flower cabbage. patrons visit various food stations, order their food and get it cafeteria style. Eating is in a huge, airy, bright courtyard. menu is a changing, seasonal format.
This is located inside the Cleveland Art Museum. It's small and off the radar. I'm so glad we found it! The atmosphere is quiet and romantic, the staff is highly professional, and the food is exceptional! The drinks have an interesting twist on them that I enjoyed. It's just another reason for Cleveland to be celebrated as a great food city.
A wonderful meal in a gem of a museum showing that art comes in many forms. Thanks to the gracious staff and the incredibly creative kitchen for a white table cloth experience second to none.
Loved thd sea bass. So crispy on the outside, tender and moise on the inside. Really nice cafe where you can sit, work, and enjoy hot chocolate.
Located within the Cleveland Museum of Art, this is the perfect restaurant for entertaining or enjoying lunch during a visit to the museum. Cuisine is contemporary American fusion food that is not only tasty and flavorful, but also a delight to admire the presentation is gorgeous (see attached photos). Service is impeccable and servers are attentive to every detail. The view from the picture windows is impressive. Prices are high as to be expected in a fine dining establishment, but the food and service are of the highest standards. Highly recommended!
Note that the restaurant (Provenance) and the Provenance Cafe are two different places to eat (next to each other), with different hours, different menus, and different methods (sit-down versus cafeteria-style). The cafe is opening up more hours beginning June 2 as COVID restrictions loosen. The restaurant is still closed, will reopen in the fall.
