Restaurant was understaffed but in fairness it was a very busy week in Lunenburg. Food was great - lobster thermador, fish masala, seafood crepes. Good wine list. Would recommend .

Great location, great view, great staff but when asked for a dairy free vegetarian chowder I got broth with carrots and potatoes. I thought they would use coconut milk. Everyone else enjoyed their meal

I think the other reviews of this restaurant must be purchased. This was a horrible experience with all three of our meals being bad. The chowder was horrible, way too saturated with flour, the salad was dripping with Ceasar dressing so badly it was a little bit of romaine with your dressing. We won't be back.

They warned us when we came in that the kitchen was behind and we would have to wait over 30 minutes after ordering, but we had nowhere to be so we didn't mind. The food was fantastic and worth the time. I had the seafood crepe and my husband had the pan-fried haddock and they were both delicious. The dessert was the fluffiest key lime pie ever! The chef personally came out and checked to make sure everything was going well. Overall, a great dinner!

The fish and chips ( homemade potato chips) are beyond excellent. I grew up in a fishing community in Nova Scotia but have never really liked battered fish until now. The Rum Runner uses a rice flour batter which is lighter and more flavourful plus the fish is very fresh! Also, it is gluten free and is safe for people with Celiac Disease. We go to the Rum Runner every chance we get and it is always delicious. The deck overlooks beautiful Lunenburg harbour. Caleb, one of the waiters, takes the whole experience up a notch with his charm and excellent service. Tim, the owner, often greets people and lets you know that he appreciates your business. A nice touch. Trust me, you can't go wrong at the Rum Runner!,
