My friend and I shared the berria melt sandwich on mom’s home made bread, a fresh pineapple smoothie and home made pineapple ice tea. Sunshine was lovely. We are happy to support local family business. Thank you for the tasty food and drinks!

Must have when in Hawaii. Tried the birria melt which came with a homemade spice sauce and homemade hibiscus tea out of this world!! Sunshine is a lovely and gracious person. Will definitely come again!!

Saw this place as we were walking around Ohana Hale. They are located to the left of the stage. They have like 4 items food wise. We got the breakfast sandwich. I didn't think it would be that filling, but I actually couldn't finish mine. It was a bit on the pricey side to me just for a sandwich for $13. But it was good and filling, it came with a side of salsa rosa which give it a nice little kick my bf ran out because he dips a lot. The chamoy mango smoothie looked super good! Gotta try that next time!

James Beard award winner?? Haha!! What a scam...or JB has REALLY lowered their standards. Also shady that they took down my last review since we got food poisoning! Much better options in OHM! Don't waste you money...or time.

Breakfast Brunch, American (Traditional) is what the description says...hmmm I say it 's Mexican with Aloha. Sun 's up is located in the Ohana Marketplace, from the main entrance walk straiiiight all the way to the stage hang left poof! With the tiny space it 's adorably decorated with photos of their menu items and beautifully fancy chalkboard art. I will be using crutches for several weeks so when I 'm on my own I have been carefully selective on location that has automatic doors and convenient parking which this absolutely has and Sun 's Up has been one I wanted to try so it was perfect decision. I thought a bowl would be perfect easy to carry and it just sounded amazing...Barbacoa bowl...huh? Yes I had to Google it, it 's Spanish for barbecue a method of slow cooked meat. This bowl has shredded beef, corn, diced onions, salsa verde, cilantro all topped on rice with guacamole and lime wedge on the side. Omg this came in a huge plate lunch box because of current new Hawaii disposable food ware ordinance they don 't have bowls it was a miracle I made it back to the car but let me tell you it was yummy!! Beef was tender and flavorful the salsa verse was amazing and what brought it all together, it 's one of those dish you want to just mix the whole thing into a hot mess and enjoy the fusion in a heavenly bite. Follow them on Instagram @sunsuphawaii and Facebook Sun 's Up Hawaii or just check them out. Thank you!!
