we stopped here when we visited our son who participated in the slippery rock university. the ice is homemade and really good! I wasn't sure when.

nice place, great atmosphere! the ice is delicious (to forget the drunk giraffe), it is all homemade, which makes it 10x better than normal ice.

The flavors were interesting. Had the chocolate fire with vanilla. The white chocolate lavender.

I think Sweet Jeanie deserves a 5-star rating. Your ice cream is notch. (My wife loves it and ranks it among her very favorite). The staff is always polite and helpful. It is a large part of downtown. Service, though always with a smile, can sometimes be slow... but patient... her ice is worth waiting. Your hours are great. You can almost always count on them being open when everything else is closed in the city. This requires a lot of dedication and is very appreciated for those of us who want a snack after 6:00 when the other shops close.

Great home made ice cream. Large selection of flavors. Whether you like to stick to something you know like chocolate, or feel more adventurous, Sweet Jeanie's will always have something on the menu for you. Taste list is different every time I go in. You are also very friendly! Oh and they have a reward program!

Sweet Jeanie's is a classic local ice cream cream joint. My family loves to take a walk in downtown and stop by a hot summer day. The ice cream is great and there are some games and toys for the kids to play with in the store. Jeanie himself is very friendly and welcoming and children can even get a free cone!
