I am a big fan of thai basil! I lived a few years in Southeast Asia and this place feels like going back. Maybe not as good as what they get over the pond, but I love the curry and the mango sweet rice. I get usually takeout, so can't really talk to the Dine-in service, but the waitress in the cash register was always super friendly.

Last nite, I ordered 3 Pad Thai dishes and a coconut chicken soup to go for my dinner guests. The Pad Thai was just a bunch of greasy noodles, no flavor an little else. The coconut chicken soup also had little chicken or anything else save the coconut based broth. Between 5 people we actually choked down 1 tasteless Pad Thai and less than half the soup. Today I tried to eat one of the left overs and realized again, that It really isn’t worth eating. I called Thai Basil and nicely let the manager know how the food was, not to get a free meal cause I will never go there again, but to let her know in case she has a new cook who doesn’t know how to cook or is stealing all the meat or whatever. I used to like this place and thought they may not know what is going on. She told me: “That is our recipe and if you don’t like it go somewhere else to eat.” I certainly won’t be going there anymore.

Good food. Good service. Restaurant is quite small though. Could be hard trying to dine in during peak hours.
