we went to the hornet on a Friday night, we sat immediately without making a reservation. it was a lady night and we choose the hornet because it is conveniently located near our next destination. we ordered a round drink. I ordered the huckleberry lemonade, which was slightly refreshing. my friend and I shared the black laugh. we wanted something that wasn't too heavy before a dance night, and that was a great choice for us. the salmon well paired with the cured rice and the ananas red pfeffer salsa added slightly warm to the dish. I appreciate the fact that the cook split the dish and put it nicely for us on separate tellers before he broke it on the table. Sometimes, restaurants give them a teller with eating and an additional teller to share it yourself. I prefer it was already plated and divided for us. the personal was friendly and the facility was clean and cool! I have heard that this is a great place for brunch, so I will be back to check it for myself.

I spent a week in denver and ate here twice, because I liked this place so much. next to a great menu, the melodies playing in the background are good, the place is large and has seats in the free, and the seer are super friendly. my friend got a meat bark au jus with paprika and mushrooms to lunch and said this is the best sandwich I had in a long time.
great late night place. I ordered the türkei bacon brie panini. incredible! a side of the tomatenbisque to dive included. great! service was very good. our server has checked for us often, but not too often. our releases were not watered, as some places tend to. highly recommended. I'll come to lunch.
very courteous for our outside the city party of 9! attentive service, friendly staff and absolutely fantastic eating. it was our favorite brunch spot on our trip and will definitely go when we get back!
Happy hour is 4 7 everyday. 4 beers and tap wine. 7 appetizers. The avocado toast was great. The atmosphere and service was wonderful. Started to get busy around 8pm.
Food came out quick and was quite yummy, especially the happy hour nachos. The Hornet did not offer as many veggie vegan options as I would have liked. Beers would have been pricy had it not been happy hour, but they were delicious. Overall, cute place to grab a bite with fast, friendly service.
Went in for Sunday brunch and overall it's just ok. Let's start with the good: The 5 double mimosas are CLUTCH! Legit the shining star of the whole thing. I had the banana bread pudding french bread and it was pretty delicious. Comes with bourbon banana syrup and as someone that doesn't like bananas it was great. Now the bad..... The bacon came out gummy. We asked for new bacon and it came out all but burnt, pictured below. The server kept disappearing. Like would drop something off and be gone for so long our drinks were empty. We literally had to get up find her after she dropped the check off just to pay. Tried the mulemosa and it left a lot to be desired. Overall stick to the 5 double mimosas and you'll be good to go
After a global pandemic ranging for almost two years, one would figure during Omicron that their online ordering system would be solid. Not the case. Order was submitted online chownow from website but wasn't received in the restaurant, lost in some que that wasn't seen by staff until after I came to pick it up. Ordering ahead of time was a waste. Brunch Playa Fish Tacos beer battered cod? Cod was very scarce. The tacos were pretty much filler of shredded lettuce and heaps of pineapple red pepper Pico with the slightest crumble of cod intermixed. 5 dollars each. Not much flavor. If I wanted a lettuce pico taco I could have stayed home. A dissapointment. No apologies for the wait. No words of encouragement. Just indifference from staff. I will return again someday for something else.
