Good food at decent prices. They have some unique milkshakes and a variety of foods. But you really need another bathroom, because that is a small bathroom they have, is much smaller than the restaurant needs, especially because it always seems to break.

Lavish and delicious Greek joint! Amazing milkshakes, Gyros other deserts. Could be considered a full-fledged restaurant, but also fast food. Requisit the entire aesthetic in this place and keeps Greek food traditions. These guys are legitimate Mad in Greek.

Most of my life in the Chicagoland region are gyro and Italian beef places plentiful. We drive in the middle of a desert along Interstate 15 and I see a sign that Mad Greek Cafe. Really?! When we exited from the highway, towards the town of Baker, I did not expect to find anything except an old restaurant that existed a long time ago, before fast food chain restaurants came to life. When we drove through Baker CA, I was almost sure that this place no longer existed. As I said in another review, there is nothing wrong with fast food chain restaurants, but finding something better, in the middle of nowhere to eat is just luck! As we continued in a way, on my right it was like the Parthenon in ancient Greece. A spectacle of white statues on the vicinity of the restaurant. We went in and it was order at the counter and they call your number when it was ready service. The gyro meat was juicy and tasted like the gyro meat of the Greek city in Chicago. The zaziki sauce, red onions, tomatoes and salad were the perfect accompaniment for the tasteful delicate gyro meat. The Pita was so soft and fresh. I wish I could have tried the hummus, but my gyro is probably enough calories worth food for 2 days and I didn't order it. Also, my men's house made strawberry shake, that was 10 out of 10. I couldn't think of something that would make it better. This place is an oasis in the desert.

Great food. I haven't been there for about 8 years, and I made a point to just stop the Baklava though I had to wait two hours until they open at 8:00. It wasn't disappointed. I made it my Baklava and a few eggs and sausage sandwiches with Pita bread. Good. This is a great little restaurant, lots of truck parking. Eat or take off. Truck drivers with CDL and military veterans and active service receive 20% discount.

The Mad Greek Cafe is a clean and friendly, old fashion, must stop near the Worlds largest thermometer and Alien Jerry close to the freeway and gas stations. Parking is decent and food is prepared in a timely fashion. Their Lamb Gyros are flavorful and the salad was a proper Greek complete with olives and feta as all Greek salads should have! The statues are abundant and if you're lucky you might see the local stray cats stopping by the patio for a sip of water.

Great food and great memories but the restaurant needs refreshing. We concocted a Gyro-Freta-Fries by adding an $8 side of Gyro meat to the Feta Fries, which was totally worth it, and should be on the menu. And of course we had to add a Fresh Strawberry Shake.

Updating 2/16/22 And tonight we had the Onassis Burgers, omg those are the bomb! The fries were great too, so fluffy yet crispy. Thank you again! Also we had a fountain drink, rooter, it was amazing! Sometimes fountain drinks aren't so good, but it was excellent! Great job! Thank you for the response from the owner! I know times are hard. Since we are sticking around for a week or so, we did go back for another try. Excellent! This time we got the large Greek salad with chicken gyro to share. What super big tasty salad it was! If you love a great salad it's a must. Plenty of red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and feta on crispy lettuce, spinach and cilantro. Came with a pepperoncini and a dolimede(stuffed grape leaf, yummy), kalamata olives, plenty of flavorful Greek vinaigrette, big lemon wedge and a super pita bread. Then the tasty chicken gyro meat on top. Definitely filled us both up and absolutely worth the $19.38+tip. I expect to be back during our stay to try some other items. The desserts and pastries look very tempting. Thank you! 2/14/22 It was ok. Because of the pandemic literally everything I had seen and wanted from the menu was unavailable. The lamb and beef gyro had good flavor, but the meat was quite dry and didn't get enough tzaziki to cover it. It's pretty expensive too, again I assume from the pandemic. Staff is friendly. Not bad, just not anything there, at least in these times, that I'd go back for. Masks are required at this time.

This is a must stop on way to or from Vegas. The hands down best fries and gyros you will find! And they are finally open now as they were closed during pandemic. Pets welcomed as long as the outdoor part is open.
