I really wanted to like this place. the name alone should make it for our family when we are in the city. unfortunately we will probably not be back. we enjoyed the atmosphere. the stands from ancient church tribes, the woody feeling, the service and the presentation were very nice. each member of our 10 people party ordered something different, and each member of our party had the same complaining: eating was tasteless. the one taking seemed to be the chicken piccata. while the chicken breast was wimpy and unimpressiw, chicken piccata is really hard to make tasteless. when calculating a premium price, the expectation is high-quality eating. the wooden have not delivered. price: food quality: service: atmosphere:

has ordered an salat, the salat was quite devastated, brown and rotten. the whole entrance is quite confusing as they have to follow a sign on the curse as soon as they get in. poorer has set up. had the braided bark ravioli as the ravioli of the day. Do you like one and do not. there was nothing special. easy to say it was frozen. the bark was mush. the waitress we had was an absolute joy. very friendly and knowledgeable. very fast also with drinks.

What happened to this restaurant! We used to go years ago and always order the Manicotti! I went Wednesday and it isn't even on the menu anymore! I ordered Chicken Marsala and was so disappointed! Chicken breasts not pounded flat but tough! The mushrooms looked like they came out of a can and the sauce had no taste of Marsala at all! The noodles bland and tough! I ordered wine and a side salad which were ok! My bill was $40! I can get a better meal at Joe's for half that! Sorry won't be back! My friend ordered a veal dish and said it was horrible!!! Sorry will never come back!

They use Lou's s sausage on their pizza and it's phenomenal. This is an old school kind of place in the bathroom is kind of small. It's not a gigantic venue so large parties will be difficult. However, they do have a private room in the back that you can rent. The salad that I got for side salad with blue cheese was fresh and crisp. Purple onions, tomatoes croutons cucumbers very good. My daughter liked the french fries. They reminded me of the old Rally's fries. My wife had the buffalo chicken salad that was crisp and the buffalo sauce wasn't too hot. The server Amanda was on top of everything. As soon as my glass was empty it got refilled. We have been going to the woods for pizza for as long as I can remember at least thirty years) and it is a staple of the Rocky River area. Definitely some tasty food and a great atmosphere if you like a place with lots of wood on the walls. There are no games or fancy things.

It's a shame that they do not have high chairs available. Only booster seats. We had to leave due to this inconvenience. Guess they do want want kids there
