I 've eaten here several times, so I warn you: come hungry, or be careful to order less than you think you want. The portions are large, and the quality is excellent. I once ordered the Broccoli Cheddar soup, and wanted a grilled cheese sandwich to go with it, so I ordered the Grilled Your Way Cheese Sandwich , thinking for $3.00 it would be a light accompaniment to the soup. First, the soup was not an orange gravy with some florets in it: it was a rich thick broccoli puree, held together with cheddar, truly a meal in itself. And for the $3 sandwich? It was made with Texas toast (or Texas-sized, at least , and contained several ounces of melted cheese: again, a meal in itself. Yesterday I had their sandwich special: hand-cut Turkey Bacon BLT, with a fried egg, and avocado, and an aioli of some sort. Again, beautifully made, amazingly tasty, and a full meal. Getting my lunch here daily would be dangerous to my waistline (except the soups: a man could live well on their soups, I should think , but it would be a pleasure day after day to do so. (Incidentally, you can 't eat here except on warm days: there are three or four small tables out by the filling pumps, and I 'm sure the gasoline smell would ruin your meal: but for take-out, Three Crazy Ladies is beyond compare. (Breakfast sandwiches are huge and delicious, too.
