Toni's Courtyard Cafe

Great breakfast experience. Eggs/beans/hashbrowns were all well cooked. Coffee was tart and required a lot of dressing. The staff was very good, helpful and friendly.

I'm editing my original review two years ago. I left a 5-star rating, but now I give these 2 stars! When Toni owned this café, it was AMAZING! I never had a problem regarding the staff or they were able to emphasize my needs. This morning I went in alone while my partner brought our SMALL dog to the side. I asked for a table outside on the terrace and we got a table and served coffee. My question concerns: 1. The service was only to get coffee so SLOW! The server brought coffee with creamer that we asked, but no spoons or serviceware at all! How did she expect us to move into the creamer? 2. You had just changed the menu for lunch. Well, we rolled with him how we wanted orignially breakfast, but were on something big to eat. The problem is if I asked the server if we could get 1 egg cubes for our dog. (This was never a problem before) She had to ask back. It cost FOREVER just to tell us that they have taken everything away for breakfast! A EGG! I watched how her staff went in and out of her GIANT FRIDGE when I was finished waiting and NO ONE could grab an egg from the refrigerator and season it? Seriously? Yeah, Toni's Courtyard Cafe... You don't get my money anymore. And I can tell you that I will make sure you don't get the money of my friends and family anymore. To appreciate that you have tried to announce me and my dog and EGG! How hard is it to get an egg out of the refrigerator and crush it? Isn't that what the COOKS are PAID to do???? Thank you, but no thanks!

This small jewel is located in a clean, clean car park. The food is quiet and cool inside and open and welcoming outside on the covered terrace. On the terrace there is a small waterfall on the back wall and relaxing string lighting. The seat cushions are super comfortable, and above all the food was delicious! The presentation was also on the point. That would not have been so pleasant with the excellent service they gave! Quite satisfied, we will return.

Had the specials, chorizo and jalapeno breakfast burrito and banana nut cinnamon bread pancakes and was very happy with our food. Had great flavor, wasn't overly sweet the burrito was just slightly spicy with lots of flavor. Service was pretty quick even when busy and the food came out hot too. The outdoor courtyard is very nice and relaxing, well shaded with fans to circulate the air with a breeze. One of our favorite breakfast brunch spots in Merced.

Great great staffs and good breakfast. Must order pancakes, omelette and sour dough bread. Food was fresh and hosts were attentive. I would love to go again

I just ate a very delicious lunch here at Toni?s. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Five Star Grilled Cheese sandwich that has cheddar, Jack, Swiss, Provolone, and Pepper Jack Cheese! It comes with fries. I also ordered a bowl of Cream of Green Chili soup which I highly recommend. For my drink I had a strawberry Italian soda.

I've been going to this place for years, and is definitely a hidden gem in this small town of Merced! The customer service is always on point, drinks are never low, and the quality of food matches their pricing. Doesn't matter if it's breakfast or lunch, this place doesn't miss the mark. All of their food is freshly made, and the biscuits are to die for. Their gravy is REAL country gravy with chunks of sausage, and you can't get that at many places anymore. I've never had a bad experience here, and that's why I continue to go back. If you're a breakfast or brunch person, this place is for you.
