eating here was excellent! hot and very large portions. the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the server was high and smells like marihuana to the point when she passed, that was all she could smell. management really has to stop allowing their employees to smoke gras while working. we came here to eat and do not have to deal with this terrible smell. do what they want on their own time, but try to be more professional when working.

Our server was andrea. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and delicious food. Table next to us were jerks to her, she stayed very professional and polite. Very impressive. Will definitely be back.

We have been going here for more than 10 years. Recently the service has gotten slower although the servers seem to be working hard. This time was the worst. At one point there was no food coming out of the kitchen...nothing was happening for probably 10 to 15 minutes. Finally our food arrived. I had ordered a chicken fried steak, green beans and Texas toast. The salad had come out earlier and was quite good. The main dish was not good at alll... meat was shriveled and green beans were overcooked. Props to our server Michelle for carrying on with grace. Not a good evening at Village Inn.
