the food was dry. it took a long time to get out. looks good, but the ball is dropped. my date was not impressed. a server was really nice, but the other one I could say hated her job. Maybe only an off-day overall, but I won't recommend it. except for drinks at the bar.

To be fair I've only gotten take out from here but every time I have the food has been fresh and delicious. I typically get the tempura udon and a side of negitoro roll, which is pretty hearty and filling. My go to place for sushi on the Drive

Met a friend for dinner, knowing what the menu was. She dined on huevos racncheros, I chose the pulled pork. Can't comment on her plate much except for the ridiculous pile of black beans it contained. Can definitely say my pulled pork was hugely disappointing. While it was smokey (Jethro's says they smoke meats themselves), it was bland and needed about twice as much sauce as it had -- a dainty swirl of BBQ sauce on the bun was hardly enough. Bar selection extremely limited. Service was lackluster at best -- we weren't even asked if we wanted anything more, including beverages. Just got a bill plunked on the table when the server was done ignoring us. In terms of comfort and cleanliness, even by Vancouver standards, it's sub-par. Washrooms are just plain disgusting (and inaccessible -- there is a "staff only" room before the step to the washrooms, which has a wheelchair sign on it, so one might think that's the accessible washroom, but it was out of order when we were there, so good luck to you if you can't do the step(s)!). I'm guessing the success of the other locations has made this one succeed so far, but it's beyond me how this is considered a hotspot when Vancouver has so many other well-executed and enjoyable places on offer. Would I return? To be fair, I'd try this place again for a breakfast, since that seems to be their schtick, but let's say I wouldn't wait in line for the privilege.

I love this little market. it is small and contact, but has good quality, many local veg options (hummus, vegan pate from pastiche, daiya) large sweet and obstinate to very favorable trips. they also sell locally produced vegan caramels and brot, kombucha, organic pasta that they can not find elsewhere and the list goes on. parking is easy and convenient. a new thing they have recently begun is a weekly veg production box pickup. I'll try soon. large small load to support.
