I've been trying to stop this place for many years, but I've always been past this afternoon before they opened. a month or so back, my father and I were over and I realized that it was 4:00 (opening time) so that I was in. I finally wanted to see the stand elvis. I went to the door and it was locked; I went around the side, bumping in the windows; no sign of life. the neon beer sign in the window was illuminated. as I opened my car door, I heard the door open and an older man standing there and looked at me. a few minutes later, my father and I were inside and I interviewed this legendary paul treadway, the guy that had them since the beginning. the long time (59 years) barkeeper dame was in the sick house, so the bar / restaurant closed. but paul has sold us a few years and given us a tour through every customs of the place. it was amazing what this guy could tell, and of course he told me the Elvis story and showed me that. I hope they open up again and if so, I want to go back.
