we found this on Google maps shortly after cross-border crossing at midday. it is just a short distance from the autobahn and over the road from a pretty small park at the river. it was a beautiful day, so we sat outside, where our server immediately took our drinks orders and informed us about their specializations. I ordered the daily special ham and the best on sourded with roasted pfeffer soup and my wife had the seafood kitchen and an ipa. the servings were plentiful and very tasty. her chowder was loaded with delicious seafood and almost more than she could eat. the bill was under $40us with 20% tipp, so not the cheapest or most expensive lunch we have on this trip, but very reasonable in considering the food and excellent service.

a classic old building that is newly designed to become an amazing east coast restaurant, with lots of space, excellent dining and farewell and delicious culinary temptations for all to enjoy. fantastic and friendly staff are there to serve them their favorite drink and entice them with the daily specialties of the chef. Many parking spaces and even a charging station for electric means of transport.

on the way back from pei to lunch. pleasantly surprised that it was open, as travel advisor said it was closed until December 2022. but the FB page said it was open. So we took a chance because when we called him, the voicemail went. the lobster jumpers were delicious. the bacon wrapped scallops were very good. man, I have lunch that was a shaved beef sandwich with loaded potato soup. there was really enough bark for 1/2 a sandwich, so we just didn't eat 1/2 the brot. it was very good. the suppe needed salt pepper but was good. our friends got the poutin he said it was good, but the gravy was not traditional. the spinatsalat was very good! the toryard beer was excellent. total enjoyable lunch. beautiful atmosphere, good service.

This place has great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great food and beer. We've tried the brunch and dinner menus and have always had a positive experience... we'll be back for sure.

In their defense...I ordered a burger, medium rare. They said they only do well done. After rechecking the menu, I decided to have the burger anyway having had well done before, I knew what to expect. What I did not expect was totally dried out and tasteless. That was a surprise at $18.00 for a burger and fries. My husband's was the same and he didn't finish his either. We also ordered drinks. I asked for no horseradish as i don't like a hot bloody Mary. I have them all the time made with Clamato and love them. What they didn't say was the drink is still extremely hot with a thick peppered rim. So...we left there, , $90.00 poorer, (including the tip) and still hungry. That won't happen again. Partly our fault, partly theirs. The waiter was great though. Just overpriced and not what we wanted after craving a burger all day.

I don't usually write reviews but this soup was soooo good! I love ordering soup here because I always enjoy the toasted pretzel bread that comes with. This was the best potato soup, thick and cheesy with crisp bacon and leeks! Yummy! The service too is excellent! Thanks 5 Kings for providing such a cozy friendly place to eat out.
