Ben and Simons Pie Shop

This place is absolutely wonderful. It has excellent specials, my favorite being the meat pie on Wednesdays and super drinks. Great place for a coffee and piece of pie or to go for lunch. Has a nice play area for kids to play in and the staff is amazing. This is definitely a hidden gem in alberta. The best part about it is that they are also a little bakery and you can buy baked items like the delicious breads and scones while stopping in for lunch. Their Christmas in a cup is to die for and I will be ordering it year round if I can.

I live here - in Castor & pretty much at the Shoppe! Most days myself & my coworker spend our coffee breaks here. Great "fancy" drinks, and delicious sweet treats. The mac & cheese soup is absolutely amazing, as are the scones. I recommend it to everyone!

The service is amazing. I really enjoyed my lunch of Lemonade chicken with a scone and pop only $5.00. I then ordered a slice of pumpkin pie which was yummy, with a scoop of ice cream. The latte was so much better than anything I've had before and everything was so reasonably priced!! You should definitely stop here. They also have a play area for kids which is wonderful.

You are very limited in Castor, if your looking for something to eat. This place is clean, cozy and the service is friendly. It looks like a nice place to come for coffee/tea and dessert. They do have a variety of pre made sandwiches and wraps available. I tried the lunch special: Seafood Carbonara soup, with scone and choice of drink for $7. The soup was quite good with a decent amount of seafood in it. The scone was also good. The meal was quite small, more of a side dish, but it was tasty and satisfying. With limited options, I would say this place is probably the best place in Castor for lunch.

Clean and friendly atmosphere. The pie was delicious. The coffee was excellent with many types of choices to choose from.

Awesome little place to eat and have pecan pie. If ever in Castor again I'll be stopping by. (Quick and friendly service too!)

They have fancy coffees, home made fruit pies and sandwiches. Friendly host. And cheap prices! What more could you ask for. The Saskatoon rhubarb pie was tasty. Chili and scone were tasty. Cosy feeling inside. They also have other baked goods so it is part bakery too. It was a great place to stop for lunch and desert on my long drive. Right next door to Shangri La Inn second building from corner. I will be back.
