A colleague and I dined at the Best Western Mirage Hotel Restaurant in July 2017 while on business in High Level. The restaurant and pub are adjoined under this beautiful clear curved ceiling. However, the light can be intense when the sun shines and the temperature can fluctuate drastically when it gets warm or cold outside due to the cavernous interior and lots of glass. The food at the restaurant is very good. Much better than one would traditionally expect in the north.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a hotel restaurant in High Level but the service was great and the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was outstanding! The sauce was unique with onions and other herby flavours. Not you standard plain white sauce. I'll be back.

Patrick may be drunk, if he's not- there's no excuse for how bad he is. I don't like being yelled at for not liking my food.

I loved this restaurant. I definitely would not have expected to get such good quality food and ambiance in such a remote town. Would say the menu is an par with that of a Cactus Club or better. I had the lobster poutine and the beef brisket sandwich and could eat both over and over. The staff was quick, pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. Best restaurant in this town!

We stopped in for lunch and all had a good meal. I had a burger with a side of Texas chilli and was quite pleased. The meal was tasty and I enjoyed the chilli, which was spicy and decently sized, if a little salty. One of our party had the special, which was chicken alfredo, and he enjoyed it. The restaurant was mostly empty but our waitress was friendly, prompt, and helpful. The venue had a pleasing, bright, and sunny ambience, and did remind us of a place in Las Vegas (the hotel is named the Mirage, and High Level also has a Flamingo and a Stardust). There was lots of parking, the restaurant is easy to find, being located on the main highway, and everything was clean and well taken care of. We had a good experience and were suitably impressed, especially given the size of the town and the remote location (High Level is less than 200 km from the NWT border).

I was in High Level for a business trip and stayed at the Best Western instead of going out for dinner I decided to eat at the hotel restaurant and watch the hockey game. The service was good there was a great selection of beer and wine. I had the dinner special which was a 1/4 chicken and beef ribs served with risotto. The portion was massive everything was cooked perfectly. The breakfast the next morning which was included with the room rate was also very good.

I stayed in a different motel, but came here for a full breakfast at the Best Western. A good choice: good food and good service.
