actually now they call shawii kitchen on the native oaks golf course. eating is excellent! the best burger, delicious salads and the Veggie sandwich are to die. highly recommended!
this place is excellent! reasonable prices, large courts and the employees are consistently very nice.
We had the hamburger, grilled cheese and vegie sandwich. I would order these again.They are now called Shawii.

This is a GREAT find in downtown Escondido. While the place is very new (additional owners added in July), the food is awesome and very tasty. Everything is cooked (perfectly) on an outdoor grill (station) which adds greatly to the patios ambiance. The staff is very friendly and well versed. We ate out on the patio and then moved inside to listen to the band (which was spectacular--particularly if like the good ole days) play everything from the 50's to the 80's. They definitely need a wider selection of wines (both price point and varietals), which they said they are trying to accomplish. (Lucio and Rick-the owners-made a point to say hello' and were very accommodating). Overall a great place and we'll come back!
