Biscuit Eater

Do NOT get a Timmies when this little spot is right around the corner in Mahone Bay. We just stopped in for a quick coffee but the ambiance was lovely with ample seating both inside and on the back deck. There's a selection of new books for purchase as well as used books as decoration in one of the side rooms. If we hadn't been on our way to a wedding reception we would have settled in and enjoyed a treat from what looked like a delectable dessert selection. Their medium roast coffee was quite strong but very tasty and my friend quite enjoyed his dark roast.

Lovely residential area to eat in the backyard or inside if you wish. The coff is excellent and the muffin nicely warmed and exceptional...peach, raspberry a lovely combo

I realize that in today's world people sometimes are looking to slow down however when one places an order for take out and the place isn't busy why should i wait over 30 minutes to get two sandwiches?So by all means enjoy but be aware the service is v slow!

Two couples for a quick lunch. We ordered sandwiches with the corn chowder and chili specials. Only one wait staff person who was finding it hard to keep up. There was a steady flow of people and service was pretty quick. All the food we had was delicious and enjoyed by all. Its not on the main street in Mahone Bay but we really like it. The menu had changed since our last visit but was still tasty. Also home made biscuits and bread was nice.

We recently had the opportunity to have lunch at this lovely restaurant. It is a charming setting with an equally lovely staff who were helpful and attentive.Lunch was inside because the wind was a challenge but outside would be nice on a quieter day for people who would want to sit there.The three of us had the most wonderful lunch...everything so fresh and tasty. My husband is a vegetarian and was able to have a nice lunch also. The food is simple but nourishing and presented in such a nice way.This is a place that should not be missed if you are lucky enough to visit Mahone Bay.

A beautiful day, table outdoors, white wine, breeze, air heavily scented with lilacs. What more could you want? The Biscuit Eater's Chicken Sandwich was excellent, so was the carrot cake for dessert. This is a very casual but unusual restaurant serving light meals, surrounded by books. It won't disappoint!

Went there for lunch. What a great ambience. The Americano coffee was excellent and the waiter brought a chilled bottle of water to the table. The chili was beautifully made, delicately seaoned with a dab of sour cream on top and the biscuit sandwiches were to die for. Took the dessert home with us in the form of pastries available at the bar. They were decadent and marvellous. We will return.
