Burger Barn

Homemade to order. Delicious burgers, fresh and perfect real potato fries, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Best eaten outside on one of the picnic tables at Rough Harbour.

We saw rave reviews on this restaurant so decided to try it..huge mistake. Four of us in our party all disappointed. The lady at the window took our order, I wanted the shrimp wrap,she proceeded to tell me "we have no shrimp the weather is terrible and you can't expect us to get shrimp" her attitude was extremely rude and abrupt.I ordered the chicken wrap..bad mistake. loosely rolled in a stale tortilla was a very pieces of chicken a lettuce leaf some tomato and two slices of cucumber so condiments of any find.My husband had fish and chips. very greasy fish and albeit the fries were fresh cut from real potatoes were okay.Our friend had chicken burger which wasn't to bad until half way through and it was very salty , the bun was dry.Her husband had a beef burger - thin patty that was over cooked the bun was also dry and crumbled when bit into.I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We visited in mid May just before the long weekend but unfortunately we were here on the wrong days. The Burger Barn is only open Thursday - Monday and 12:00 - 7:00. We read the reviews and planned to have the Halibut burgers, searched it out at the Marina but SOL - closed! Finding an "Open" place to eat in Sointula is very frustrating. I hope they extend their hours during the peak season...

We had the cod and halibut fish and chip meals and they were both amazing! Very authentic and fresh.

We really enjoyed our large fresh, tasty Halibut burgers and the yam fries and onion rings were good too.

Fish & chips were perfect as was my husbands burger! Fries were homemade! Cook was very friendly and the location was perfect view of the marina!

Was recommended to try the Burger Bar during our family day trip to Sointula. We weren't disappointed, the quality, quantity and value was excellent.
