Fred's Tavern

I thought it was a closed diving bar from outside. Inside was very clean. Great food. If we're in the area, we'll return. Check out our trip youtube channel called Coolest Life.

Fred's Tavern is a great bar with better than expected bar food. All bartenders are very friendly and attentive and make great drinks. The beer/liquid shop attached to it is an additional bonus.

For 50 years, I visited Stone Harbor and since I was old enough to remember that there was always a Fred's Tavern. Over the years, it has been extended from just one spirit store to a large Tavern bar and now they have a pretty indoor restaurant area and also an outdoor terrace dining area. Well, if necessary, to be comfortable with the AC, otherwise I personally prefer the outdoor terrace. Fred's always had fair prices on everything they sell, which is hard to find in a summer resort beach town. Was very pleasantly surprised to learn, they have a very good menu with an amazing kitchen! Great steak and cheese substitutes if this is your thing, but they also have great salads and other dishes. Had one of the best chicken fajitas in my life here. Best onion rings by far! No question. And the things from menu elements are also not excessively expensive. Very reasonable prices!

Only went to the liquor store but they have a pretty good selection of wines from around the world and the liquors. They're conveniently located downtown since a fair number of the restaurants in Stone Harbor are BYOB.

Best liquor store period. Make sure you grab a shirt and there's parking in the back, don't bother with street spots and paying the meter.

go to spot for alcohol. Great selection, fast, friendly check out. Even when it's crowded lines move fast. Oh and park in the back, much easier.
