Grandma's Diner

My fiancé has lived in Angus for many years and he has never been here.(Not sure how long it's been open) The outside isn't "fancy" and I will let you know that the inside isn't either. That being said, I want to say that because I'm from a small town, I appreciated the authenticity of a tried and true diner that has a beautiful heart. The service is amazing. You will NEVER have to ask for a cup of coffee, or feel unnoticed. The food itself is fresh and nicely presented (complete with watermelon slice!) The homefries are the real deal and I walked away completely stuffed and cared for. That said, the decor isn't up to date or flashy, but the heart shines through from the food to the old fashioned hand written guest cheques. (I haven't seen those for years!)It brought a smile to my face to eat here, not necessarily for ambiance, but for how much what they feed you means to them.Don't judge a book by its cover and enjoy the experience for what it is Well done to the service and the food.

Everything I had was fresh and delicious. Ideal for Breakfast and Lunch, great homemade cooking! Pork Slovaki and clubhouse sandwich with fresh turkey was amazing!

Had a good lunch one day and their souvlaki is great. The menu is huge with lots of variety. You can have breakfast and souvlaki!

If your looking for a good Homemade meal, this place is for you. Good service, great food. Little dated furniture, but overall great food.

Met here with some friends for breakfast. Very busy place. The food was great. The service was good, because they were busy there was a bit of a wait but a good excuse to catch up with friends. We were not rushed which is very nice.

We were looking for a place for lunch today on our way home, my Wife had seen Grandma's when she was at Giant Tiger, so we thought we'd give it a try. Went in and were greeted by a very nice woman serving tables, we were seated with our 2 young children and our order taken promptly. We both had clubhouse sandwiches, and the kids had a grilled cheese. They enjoyed theirs, and we really enjoyed ours. Clubhouse was made with real roasted turkey breast, not chicken or deli meat. The fries were excellent, they must use garlic salt or something on them. We're looking forward to going back soon!

We had excellent service, the food was ok. It is well set up for large groups. The ATM was out of service, but the waitress did not seemed surprised.
