Pretty sure the burgers were fresh ground to order if they did not have to be ground in the morning. Fast service and friendly staff kept people moving, lots of execution while we were there. Definitely seemed like a local hotspot for lunch, basic dining area with attached open kitchen.

We love to find local restaurants while we travel and breakfast places seem that we take most time to stop. That was a great find in Vega! Friendly staff, simple but good menu, good food! We can be some coffee snacks and the coffee was good! Yay for a new place to land west on our next trip.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Great stop on Rte 66. The breakfast Burrito was delicious and homemade French toast was fabulous. Good photo ovens also
Had one of the best Hickory Bacon Cheeseburgers I enjoyed here in my life. Crossed a country trip and found this place west of Amarillo. Sweet potatories were amazing, and the sweet tea was even better than the stuff near my house in South Georgia! Friendly staff and clean inside. Cool vintage look outside made it a really funny experience!
For a middle of nowhere diner this place is impressive! The service is country, southern hospitality and so great! The food is fantastic! We got the hickory burger and Cobb salad and both were delicious! They have lots of options for whatever you're in the mood for. Stop by and say hi, leave full and happy!
Barn style restaurant on the outside. Modern, small cafe on the inside. I got the Hickory smoked ham sandwich and it was wonderful! A little pricier than we expected but worth the stop. Wait staff was friendly as well.
The 4 of us had a fantastic breakfast! Historic building, fabulous food, great people, Tatum waa very personable...this is a must stop breakfast or lunch destination on Route 66.
This place represents what?s good about small town/rural America, the people were friendly, everyone seemed to know each other and even though we were out of Towners they still said hey. But being friendly in a restaurant isn?t worth a 5 star review. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meal. The lumberjack breakfast, I had the Vega omelette And my friend had the Route 66. The portions were filling, the food was good, my omelet was incredible and the prices were reasonable. If you?re driving through Vera for whatever reason this is a good place to stop for breakfast Now this is corona times so I have to put this for those that are conscious of it they don?t wear masks here, me personally idc the food was great and the service was amazing. I highly recommend this place
