We just had dinner and we loved it. We did not have reservations but were seated in a great area by a friendly hostess. We both had the Seafood Chowder and loved it. That is our favourite dish wherever we go and we were not disappointed. We shared Haddock fish cakes and they were very nice. The Hell Bay Stout was a nice surprise and we are going there tomorrow now. Thanks to Claire our server for the great service and tourist tips !

Everyone enjoyed their meals. We were a party of 6 and had a couple of starters and then our main course. We also had a couple of drinks at the start of the meal.

My husband and I ate here on our honeymoon. I had the ham and cheese croissant and my husband had the fish cakes and beans. Delicious. Definitely one of the best meals we have ever had. The icing on the cake was the dessert. Absolute best lemon curd cheesecake. Hubby had the strawberry shortcake and it was also very good. We will be back. I have followed this Inn on facebook ever since I decided to get married at White Point and was looking for places my guest could grab a bite to eat. I am sad we were only in Liverpool for one day and could not eat here again during our pass through. A must try!

The music was good. The food was good but alas our server was dismal. About a year ago he served me and I have to say poor Ian did not get any better. Not sure how he got the job but he hasn't gotten better with time.

At first we were unsure about the restaurant the place was packed with customers calling in before a concert in town but they found us a table and I must say the service was very prompt. They asked if we were going to the show but we said we were not and so not in a rush but they still dealt with us very quickly. We both had Haddock and fries and there were no complaints about the fish but why do these places insist on stuffing your plate with fries which most people leave. It seems odd to complain about the portions being to big and its not really a complaint. As I said the fish was wonderful and all in all it was a very pleasant experience with excellent service.

I took the recommendation from my hotel to try this restuarantI was not disappointedI started with the calamari. It was very lightly flavored and excellentFor the main I had the Haddock cakes. They came with chow chow pickles( nice compliment) I had the blueberry/strawberry salad with blue cheese as a side. The salad was excellentI would definitely eat here again when in town

We went here for dinner based on a recommendation from our hotel and we were not disappointed. Very nice setting in a beautiful old pub. Service was excellent as was the meal. I had the burger and my wife had the haddock salad. Both servings were very large and we decided to have the strawberry shortcake and it was excellent. It was a large slice of vanilla bean cake with whipped cream and tons of strawberries, lots for two people to finish. Very nice setting with reasonable prices.
