Maid-rite

Saw and articles to try this place. The only thing you want to try is that is better than average is the maid-rite loose meat sandwich. Mega Rite is just extra meat. Try other combinations. My wife got the Taco salad and it was just decent. Bonus star for the Amish bakery and business.

That was my first visit. Ambience was comforting and welcoming. The food was served well and in time. Restaurant (in or on a large shop) had a steady business flow of families. My friends want to come back next time.

After years we stopped seeing the signs and what a disappointing experience. The cash register was not helpful and rude. Only after we paid, we knew we had to order everything separately. The food tasted good with the exception of a chicken sandwich that was cold in the middle. The online advertised fish were available. And the prices asked for a little more not just so. The tables were sticky. Just sad it wasn't what we expected.

If I wouldn't have asked if they had any sandwiches without meat I never would have known from the menu. It would be nice if they would put it on the menu that they have a black bean burger! When I asked what kind they just said it was from Sysco. It wasn't anything special but it was definitely good to find it at the time. More vegetarians might stop at this place that's been around for almost 100 years if they knew that that was an option!

The prices are pretty outrageous. I tried to get a simple Maidrite and fries but sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes and still was second in line (there were only 3 of us when I pulled up and ordered). I never did get my food because I couldn?t afford to waste anymore time waiting. Thankfully I hadn?t already paid. How long does it take to throw a loose meat sandwiches together?

I stop by here at least once a week. Friendly staff, delicious home cooked style food, and can spend an hour wandering around the store. So much to see, so little time. Overall, two thumbs up in my book. I recommend the XL pulled pork sandwich.

Awesome experience at this location. This was our first time trying Maid-rite, the loose burger thing sounded really fun. We got the signature loose burger with onions, pickles and mustard. I liked it more than expected, the beef tasted good with the toppings and everything about the burger just worked really well. The beef was the right amount of lean and not greasy. Would definitely get it again if there were locations in Kansas City, Missouri. Their fried okra were awesome and cooked perfectly. The staff were really nice, and the service was prompt. Their pies are also very delicious! Didn?t get to try their giant cinnamon rolls but maybe next time.
