First time we didn't have a decent meal at a Montana's. Their steak choices are very poor cuts of beef and they are pricey, disappointing for a restaurant in Alberta. We ordered the ribeye steak which wasn't on the menu but was offered; very thin steak, tough and very expensive. The caesor salad was nothing but ordinary. The waiter was attentive and friendly, he came several times to check on us. He is not at fault for the poor food.

The menue is clearly for lunch and diner, tasteful food especially the pork ribs in a delicious sauce. Should not miss the ice cream as dessert - vanilla and strawberry; yummy

This location is realtively new to Brooks, and they've really taken off since opening. Everything you'd expect from other Montana's locations, but Brooks is willing to try different things. I know they've hosted paint nights and special themed events like a fundraiser for our local AJHL team (Brooks Bandits). The owners tirelessly give their all. Our last visit was a fine experience with great food, drinks, and company while watching the game.
First people we saw were men coming out of the restaurant in full cowboy attire. Not sure if they were "all hat and no cattle", but they sure had big hats, big buckles on their belts, and big heels on their boots. We had a feeling that the helpings would be huge, so we shared a plate of chicken fajitas. It came with all the trimmings, including guacamole sauce. We had an extra order of tortillas, and managed (just) to finish everything. To round off the supper, we shared half of a mud pie. Everything was delicious. Diana, our waitress, was very attentive and helpful.
Went out for dinner last night. It was minus 20 and snowing and a bit quieter than we usually see this place but the food was still hot and the servers were great in the lounge. Couple of drinks were perfect for killing the winter blues.
This my families favorite place to eat in the city and we usually go at least a couple times a month. Always great food, and good service. Oh and did I mention the drinks???My husband loves craft beer and they offer some local choices these days though I rarely stray away from my favorite the "Big Momma". If you are without kids it's the best lounge in town with the cities only patio.
I was in Brooks for business and thought it would be a good idea to eat here as this was a chain restaurant and I have allergies. I would suggest not going here. I was sick for two days straight. The ribs tasted like they had sat for a week and the manager did nothing about it. I even called the restaurant immediately after leaving as I was ill and he did nothing about my complaints. I first thought it was a result of my gf dairy allergies but I think it was food poisoning.....yuck
